Monounsaturated fat

Monounsaturated fat is known as ‘healthy fat’ and considered to be the healthiest type of fat that one can ingest, as it has none of the health risks of saturated fat, trans fats or polyunsaturated oils.

Monounsaturated fat is found in natural foods such as nuts, avocados, oatmeal, olive oil and many other oils, such as peanut, flaxseed, grape seed, sesame and canola oil.

Monosaturated fat is high in Vitamin E and is thought to lower cholesterol, reduce risk of heart disease and protect the body against certain cancers.
