Allopathic medicineAllopathic medicine is another term for ‘mainstream, conventional medicine’. In other words, allopathic medicine is the type of medicine you receive when visiting your family doctor or a hospital. Allopathic medicine is ‘evidence based medicine’, which has been proven effective by clinical trials and studies.
These ‘proven’ medicines are usually pharmaceuticals and surgery procedures. Allopathic medicine treats disease by using treatments and remedies that produce different effects than those produced by the disease – as opposed to homeopathic medicine, which uses remedies that produce the same symptoms in healthy people as the disease itself.
